How to create a Measurement Report

DIY exterior measurement reports in minutes

Create an accurate measurement report using the CRMs Measurements Feature to help you quickly measure and get the information you need to send an accurate Estimate!

Part 1: Open the Measurement Tool

  1. Log into your account

  2. If a Contact and/or Project does not exist, create them

  3. From the menu, choose Projects

  4. Locate and open the project you want to measure

  5. From the Projects Menu tab, click Measurements

  6. On the right-hand side, click Open Measurement Tool

  7. A new tab will open with the Measurement Tool

Part 2: Measure & Draw Your Roof

  1. The available Image of the address provided when the project was created will load

    1. If there are multiple images, you can change the image by clicking Images in the menu from the right-hand side

  2. From the bottom menu, click Show Grid and square off your image

    1. This will overlay a grid over the image so you can square off your image before measuring

    2. Use the rotate button from the bottom menu to rotate the image 10 degrees until it's squared off with the grid

    3. When complete, click the Hide Grid button

    4. You can Zoom in and out using the magnifying glass icon on the bottom menu or by using your mouses scroll button

  3. Next, from the menu on the right click Tools, then Draw and we will start from the top of the roof and work our way down

  4. Left-click with your mouse to drop your first point

  5. Drag your mouse across the exterior section and left-click again to drop another point

  6. Continue to outline the rest of the facet of the roof, when you get back to your first point, the facet will be complete and a purple shading will show

    1. To have your point stop making a line, right-click on your mouse

  7. Click on a point to continue measuring the roof

  8. Close facets by connecting points

Part 3: Label Your Measurements

  1. After you've completed your measurements, you can now label your edges and facets

  2. From the menu on the right-hand side, click Tools, then Draw

  3. Next to Draw, you'll see two tabs, Edges and Facets

  4. To start to label your measurements, click Edges, then from the menu, choose the proper label and click your line

  5. The line will then change color to the label you chose

Part 4: Assign Pitch

  1. From the menu on the right-hand side, click Tools

  2. Click Facets

  3. The Predominant Pitch will automatically show

  4. To assign a pitch to a particular facet, click on the Pitch

  5. Next, click on the Facet

  6. You will see the Pitch assigned underneath the Sq. Ft count

Part 5: Access Report

  1. After you've completed your measuring, you can exit the tool and access the Measurement Report

  2. At the top left of the screen, click Exit Tool

  3. A "Leave Site" pop-up may appear, click Leave

  4. The Measurement Tab will close, and you will return to the Measurements Tab on the Project Page

  5. You will see the Schematic and Measurements appear

  6. Click the Download Report button

  7. Download and Save the report to your computer to share as needed!
